An extremely common plant, found in gardens, parks, field, hills, marshes and just about every other sunny or partially shaded place. Spreads profilicly by their tiny windblown seeds and by underground runners. It's other common name is Fireweed after its ability to grow on bomb sites after the the second world war. A vigorous perrenial in flower from july to september.
